02. FYR Macedonia

Once again a dark staging at
the start of the song, with blue lights. Until after the first chorus
we only see Kaliopi, while the band members are in the dark. When the
rock part of the song starts, we see the entire band. Kaliopi’s vocals
are outstanding during the entire song, and she hits every single tune
of the song, no matter how high it is! Very good staging for this song,
even though it is too simple, and the camera copes very well with all of
them on stage. Kaliopi receives a big applause in the end.


06. Portugal
Filipa
wears a beautiful shiny dress, and both her and her five backing
vocalists seem very sure about every step they do on the stage. There is
a beautiful backdrop, and the stage looks nice with red colors
dominating it. Filipa’s vocals are flawless, and match the vocals of the
backing vocalists perfectly. A great performance, and the juries might
easily go for it!

09. Slovenia
The
third Balkan country in this semi also went for a dark staging at the
beginning with blue lights. Eva looks gorgeous in her white dress with
flowers on it. In every moment she knows exactly where to watch, and
exactly what to do. Even though the choreography is very simple, it
looks very well on stage. Eva’s vocals are perfect throughout the song,
and she hits the high tunes with ease. A great performance both vocally
and visually. This should be in the juries top ten for sure!


12. Georgia
I
can think of him as serious during the start of the song, while the
part in Georgian lasts. When the girls in shiny short dresses come in,
and the fire joins the dry ice on stage – all start looking very
chaotic. Anri’s vocals are very good, and I can see only that as the
good points of this performance. Everything else is completely messy,
and there is way too much going on the stage. This will most probably
qualify tomorrow ( ) , but that will not be thanks to the juries.

ΔΕ νομίζω πως ήταν DRESS rehershal... Οι περισσότεροι ΔΕ φορούσαν τα ρούχα της "παράστασης"...

Τώρα για τη Νίνα θα σε γελάσω... Νομίζω πως φόραγε το φόρεμα, άρα μάλλον και το μαλλί έτσι θα είναι...

Another uptempo entry is needed this evening and this is one of the
track which clearly has everything going for it including the song, the
choreography and the visuals but then comes Ivi who has proven herself
to be an incredible person but very much lacks the voice. She is
definitely having her worst performance tonight and she just cannot seem
to keep up with the tempo of the song at times. Oh My! This is
atrocious from the sound of the press centre and it is quite funny how
such an esteemed performer like her has managed to kill the song all on
her own. They did their best to hide the vocals behind the choreography.
I dares say that I could sing this song even better and interacting with
the audience does not work at all. This might actually finish in the
last five places if it does not improve until tomorrow unfortunately. Prediction: 16th-24th

If the technicians solve the sound of Ivi Adamou and she sounds like a girl instead of a truck driver she can be in the top ten. The song is the one everyone loves here.


αλλά και πάλι δεν εμπιστεύομαι αυτά που γράφουν, σχεδόν τα ίδια λέει για όλους (μέχρι και την Γαλλία την βλέπει για δεκάδα) Όμως αν ήταν τόσο χάλια η Ήβη, δεν θα το έγραφαν?? Φοβάμαι μην έχει την τύχη της Kati Wolf

08. Cyprus

The choreography for this song works perfectly, which I can not say for Ivi’s vocals. In bits you can see the backing singer in the back of the stage, dressed in all black. The positive things about this song are that it sounds modern, and it is very catchy. Vocally it doesn’t really sound good. I am really not sure how the juries will rate this one.

ΚΡΙΜΑ για την Κύπρο... Αλλά ήταν πρόβλημα της Ήβης ή του ήχου???
Γιατί απ' ότι καταλαβαίνω τα φωνητικά ακουγόντουσαν πιο δυνατά από την ίδια...

14. Romania

Drums and a lot of hearts in the background for Romania once again. Elena is wearing her short red dress, and has a windmachine on from the very start of the song. The entire band has a great choreography, and they work together perfectly. Elena’s vocals are great, she sounds really powerful tonight, but she lost her line in the middle of the song. Even though I think that the fire is not really necessary in the performance, the added pyros before the final chorus look really good. Will the juries forgive Elena for her mistake?

Τις διαβάζω τις περιγραφές από το link παραπάνω, αλλά ρώτησα μήπως είχαμε κάποιο link από press room για να ακούσουμε την Λευτέρω μας...

Eleftheria Eleftheriou is also a very beautiful lady and she is wearing a beautiful short dress featuring three colours; orange, blue and white. She is also joined on stage by four dancers and a backing vocalist. The backdrop behind them is showing the sea and also seashells and it looks very strong visually. As I have noted this afternoon, this is one track which has had the kitchen sink through at it in order to look very Greek in terms of performance and staging. The vocals are fine this evening and they might actually be the best that I have heard thus far. I must say that Greece have come a very long way this year from looking like a complete no-hoper to a definite top ten finisher. Prediction: 7th-10th
