I think that nobody will be left indifferent to such the opening performance of the Eurovision 2015, and some TV viewers may be a bit surprised with it. Few eyebrows definitely were risen at the press-center, though music video for I Want Your Love already was hinting that there will be continuation of the subject. So the performance of Moldova will certainly remain noticed.

I think that everyone already read about policemen, two young guys, girl and two girls on the backing vocals. The main elements of the performance are specially developed platform, exclusive background video from Kadim Tarasov, director of all music videos of Romanyuta, and of course the flip jump of Eduard. ( ) The performance ends with surprise element with policemen being destroyed, and love story continues.

Since we in press-center are only able to see only the last run for every performance, we can't say, but I think the on screen version doesn't look perfect, the flip part was barely noticeable, and background video also not seen at most times well.

Despite Eduard has to move and jump around a lot he delivers very confident vocals.

On stage at last the group from Armenia singing live in Vienna, not sure of this song from when I first heard it, so with trees backdrop and deepest sincerity into the camera we maybe start to believe some of the sentiments of the song.....
Vocally totally tight and on point......lots of audience shots to really hammer the message home

OMG there is a NIKKY FRENCH dance clock move in there too!!!!!

Climax of the song is a floor show showing the whole world and yes the apricot tree is back again

Some camera angles need some work

I really like Armenia's song, it in a way stands out from the crowd. Six singers on the stage are a bit nervous but this is understandable. The most impressive thing is the background effects that are also projected on the stage itself.
There is not much movement but these effects make the performance lively and catchy.
The singers are all dressed up in the costumes and awesome accessories which fully finishes the image of the performance.

Συμφωνώ!

Φυσικά θα περάσει η Αρμενία (φοβόμουν μην το παραφορτώσουν, αλλά πήραν τον σωστό και μινιμαλιστικό δρόμο!) και φυσικά στον Τελικό με μια καλή κλήρωση μπορούν να χτυπήσουν χαμηλή δεκάδα (7η-10η θέση)

Για να αρχίσουν τα "ξεγραμμένα" και τα "φαβορί" των φαν να ξεκαθαρίζουν λοιπόν!

Armenia's supergroup Genealogy have just had their first rehearsal. When I watched the video and song a couple of months ago for the first time, I was really worried about the group's ability to connect together, especially since they are all coming from different places in the world.

I have to admit now having seen their first rehearsal, that Genealogy have in fact really made sure there's plenty interaction between the group members. Each of them are wearing black traditional Armenian costumes, with two of the girls wearing a beautiful piece of head jewels.

Vocally once again, there's no fault in any of their notes, and they all connect well with the cameras. The dark purple and pink apricot tree forest backdrop works beautifully too in the beginning, but the big presence of long shots staring at the floor, depicting a busy pattern and clock are taking away the emotional connection, which should really be the aim here.

For me personally, the backdrop on the floor, a rotating spiral first, and then a whirlwind in which the group is standing in the centre and then the world map from which each member are going to walk to their respective continents, are just too distracting right now. My suggestions would be ditch the busy spiral pattern, have the whirlwind moved to the backdrop and avoid the long floor drops.

Ήταν υποεκτιμημένη η Αρμενία - ήταν σίγουρα Τελικό εξ'αρχής, μόνο και μόνο από τις φιλενάδες που έχει στον σεμι. Απλά τώρα, έχει potential να πάει και αρκετά έως πολύ καλά!

And totally the same staging as we all saw on that live performance on The Voice Belgium a few days ago

Still a little shouty but I always thought that this works well with this song anyway.....

And there are rolling on the floor moments from Loic......but it's still pretty obvious that this is being treated as a glorified sound check by the Belgium team, no one trying to hard....

AND LOL Loic just said "Sorry I messed it up" as he was in totally wrong place on the stage at the end:-) Always love a bit of human side to the artists

Τα μόνα που μπορούν να σώσουν τη Μολδαβία είναι η Ρουμανία και ότι είναι απο τα ελάχιστα ρυθμικά κομμάτια.
Ο μύξας δείχνει και ακούγεται χάλια!

Αρμενία ωραίο στήσιμο, προσωπικά το κομμάτι δεν μου αρέσει αλλά Αρμενία είναια αυτη μπορεί κάλλιστα να συμβούν τα πάντα

Ο Ηχος του Βελγίου απαίσιος, είναι φρεσκότατο το κομμάτι και νομίζω θα καταφέρει την πρόκριση

Πάλι δέντρο για την Αρμενία;   Το τραγούδι μουσικά (για μένα) είναι το απόλυτο τίποτα... κορώνες, επίδειξη φωνητικών προσόντων και τίποτα περισσότερο. Ωστόσο το στήσιμο στην σκηνή φαίνεται ωραίο.


Το στήσιμο του Βελγίου φαίνεται ωραίο και φαίνεται να έχουν απλό αλλά ωραίο φόντο!

Φαντάζομαι ότι θα είναι κι αυτό βερικοκία, το εθνικό τους δέντρο.

Το Βέλγιο δεν μπορώ να το ψυχολογήσω. Δεν μου αρέσει, αλλά δεν το σιχαίνομαι κιόλας. Απλά με αφήνει αδιάφορο, και ως στήσιμο απ'όσο είδα.

Πιστεύω θα πάει καλύτερα στην επιτροπή απ'ότι στο τ/β, αν μπορέσει να βγάλει το live.

Belgium's come to the Eurovision Song Contest with a dazzling new young star, who's firmly behind the creative concept of both his song and act.

Now Loic's song is clearly one of the most current tracks of the year, and he's certainly living up to the expectations of nailing the song vocally.

But right now as it stands, it feels like the focus for the Belgian performance is mainly focussing on the backing singers, who are delivering a strong vocal but also take part in an interpretative dance routine.
It's a little bit of an odd situation, because the act should be around Loic. I think this could easily be helped by moving Loic, a couple of steps closer towards the group. A good thing however is how captivating Loic really is. His glance, facial expression and eyes just look straight through the viewers.

Overall the performance is an absolute extravaganza of white beam lights, which is going together with the mainly white backdrop, which gets broken up by black parts. and if Loic was mentioning this is a first for Eurovision, then he might be onto something.

Perhaps we're not yet seeing things on the stage yet, but as it stands Belgium sounds better than it looks on the stage, and that could be a bit of a problem, coming next week. Let's see how the rest of the week progresses.

Mινιμαλισμός και φινέτσα.... ομολογώ δεν το περίμενα από την Αρμενία μετά την εκστρατεία για το βερύκοκκο του 2010!
